Atlanta, GA
Founder & Managing Partner
Sam founded Carter & Company in 2006 with one conviction: growth-stage companies deserve executive-caliber financial leadership before they can justify a full-time C-suite. That belief has driven every decision since — from the type of work we accept, to the professionals we recruit, to the standard we hold on every engagement.
He leads firm strategy and the highest-complexity advisory engagements across finance architecture, investor readiness, and operating model design. Sam is a licensed CPA with prior experience at a Big Four firm and two venture-backed operating roles. He holds degrees from Georgia Tech and the Goizueta Business School at Emory University.

We help growth-stage companies build the infrastructure that lets them reach their potential. The work matters because the businesses we serve are building something that matters.
Five markets mean five distinct business ecosystems. Our team members develop deep expertise in their local economy while drawing on the collective knowledge of the full firm.
